Falliah yelped again as a contraction shook her body. The pain was excruciating and she wished Duke would come, before the pups were born.

The brujo quickly bounded towards Falliah, ducking under low branches and jumping over the occasional fallen log. When he arrived, he was slightly out of breath. Slowly walking over to his mate, he nuzzle her gently and laid down behind her, so his left flank touched her back. He licked the top of her head gently and smiled.

Falliah calmed down a little but another contraction racked her body. She yelped with effort to give birth, and was rewarded as a tiny pup, slowly appeared. Falliah sighed with joy but was cut short as she realized that this could be just one of many. Her guess was right as slowly one by one, five pups were born. Falliah sighed happily, and gazed at the five forms. She began to lick them clean. As she finshed with the first she smiled. "I name you, Alassë. She named the third and the fifth pup as well, but left the second and fourth for Duke. "and you I name Elemmírë, and you, Círdan." she looked to Duke expectantly. "Unless you object."

Duke smiled. "Those names are perfect," he purred, nuzzling his mate before looking at the pups. His gaze settled on the two pups to be named. He nudged the second pup, a male. "You will be Elrohir," he said smiling. He looked to the girl, the fourth one. "And you Failariël," he said, smiling. His gaze flickered over to Falliah, giving her an inquiring glance as to if the names were alright.

"They are beautiful." Falliah nuzzled her mate and drew the pups against her warm body. As Alassë, Elemmírë and Círdan, began to suckle she tried to guide Elrohir, and Failariël to her teets before nodding off, tail curled around her pups. "We're parents." She murmed in semi-wakefulness.

Duke smiled and nuzzled his mate again, eyes flickering joyfully over the five small pups. "Yes, we are," he said, gazing into Falliah's eyes. He chuckled slightly. "Get some sleep, love, you earned it," he said softly, smiling at her and looking down at the pups again. His tail flicked and rested over hers.

Duke watched his mate sleep, smiling gently, tail wagging slowly. His gaze settled upon the pups, watching them as they ate from their mom's milk. He watched, grinning, as Elrohir fell asleep. His sister snuggled up to him, but didn't fall asleep. Not yet, anyways.

As Duke cuddled against Falliah, his eyes gazed on their pups. His head was on the ground but he could still see them all clearly. His tail wagged slightly, and it rested gently on Failariël's back. She snuggled closer to the fluffy thing, and he smiled, amused. I think she's going to be a daddy's girl, he thought to himself, smiling. Slowly, as Failariël slowly fell asleep, he did, too.
