Returning from the hunt

Chira padded into the pack borders and made her way back to the denning grounds. She was tired from all the work it took taking down that deer. She was alsow fullup on meat. She looked back to her children who were following behind. Luna was speaking with Midningt Blossom, Koori was trotting along looking around at everything and Zects was following at his own pace at the back of the line.

Zects went into the family den to sleep, he was very tired. Koori decided to join him. The two brothers curled up and napped.

Chira smiled, she turned to Parchment. "Parchment, dear, I'm going to find Malice and give him his share of meat." she said licking her mate on the cheek. She then picked up the leg she had saved for him and trotted away to find him.

*exit Chira*

[Parchment]

"Meet you later then!" Parchment hollered after Chira. He looked over at his daughters. Luna and Midnight Blossom looked very happy speaking about something, and Serendipity had now joined her brothers Koori and
Zects into sleeping. He swung around to look for Ebon Fire. Ebon Fire was yawning and pawing at a leaf. Fire then turned around, and stared at Parchment.

Ebon Fire was extremely bored. He didn't know what to do, so he just toyed with a leaf. He wasn't tired, and he didn't want to play. He just wanted to do ... something. Fire turned around, and stared at his dad. He walked over to Parchment, and sat down, looking into the distance, wondering of the other packs. He heard Mum and another wolf talking. Maybe it was another wolf.

Parchment suddenly heard a howl. His ears swiveled. He blinked, and looked at Ebon Fire beside him. He stood up. "Son, I'm just going to greet another wolf. You can rest, or do anything you want, okay?"

Ebon Fire nodded, and watched his father disappear.

Parchment entered, still barking. He stopped, and then howled for the pups to come out. He wanted them to meet Kiwi. He was sure that they would learn something from a wolf that could not see. They did not know the preciousness of their own eyesight yet. Soon they will.

[Juice]

Chira padded back to the main packlands, she had met the new fae that had joined. She was called Alassiel. She seemed nice. Chira saw her mate coming back from a visit to somewhere. He was barking at someone it seemed. She trotted to him. "Parchment?" she looked at him with question.

Koori and Zects woke with a start. Zects crawled out from under his brother. "Dad's calling." he said quietly and trotted out of the den. Koori shook and stretched for a moment then padded to Ebon Fire who was also asleep. He nudged him. "Wake up Eb, we gotta go, Dad wants us."

[Flamewolf]

Kiwi trotted in shortly after Parchment. Her eyes were closed, since she saw no reason to keep them open; it just bothered her. Even though she couldn't see anything, they were still subject to light, and having them open in a bright day when she didn't know that it was sunny gave her a headache. She didn't want to take the chance. She stopped slightly behind Parchment, her tail wagging slowly, her ears forward.

[Parchment]

Parchment padded over to Chira. "That's Kiwi. She's a blind fae that has just joined, and I thought it would be useful if the kids just got an inkling of how important their five senses are." Parchment smiled and turned towards the pups.

"Guys, this is Kiwi." Parchment stopped a little, unsure of what to say next.

Ebon Fire gave a huge yawn. He stuck out his paws, shook them, and then lazily stood up. He immediately gave his full attention to the fae when he saw her, though. She was standing with her eyes closed, which was puzzling him. She's not looking at any of Fire's brothers or sisters ...

Blind.

Serendipity stopped talking to Luna, and trotted over to join Koori and Zects. Another member, Serendipity thought. How boring. Does Dad have to show every single member to us? Serendipity could not tell that this fae was blind.

Midnight Blossom followed her brothers. She looked curiously at the fae and Dad 'n Mum. What was up with this fae?

Malice padded in knowing Alassiel would be close behind. "hey there" he said smiling at the pups. Malice always acted like a big brother around the pups.

[Lostariel]

*enter Alassiel*

Alassiel walked up along-side Malice, brushing against his fur and looking over to the pups, she smiled at them and looked to Malice, "Hello" she said shyly to them, still staying close to Malice for support...since the pups didn't know her yet.

[Flamewolf]

Kiwi smiled. "Hello," she said to the pups, her eyes opening. She could see a gray background and blurry dark patches a little in front of her; she hoped those where the pups. She looked in that direction. As Malice and Alassiel approached, her ears flickered backwards towards them. She turned her head slightly, then her eyes came over to where she knew Parchement was.

[Parchment]

Ebon Fire's jaw dropped. The fae just looked at him and his brothers and sisters! Wow!, he thought. So Kiwi isn't blind. Not completely blind, at least. He padded up to Kiwi, and bumped her. Hi, Kiwi! My name is Ebon Fire. Are you really sorta blind? That is SOOOO cool!

Parchment slapped his forehead. "Ebon fire is missing my point." Parchment then sighed and looked at the new fae. Teasingly, he told Malice: "You look like you've got a new girlfriend!" Parchment smiled. "I'm the alpha here. Name's Parchment. What's yours?"

Serendipity lost interest in Kiwi and walked away.

Midnight Blossom listened closely to Ebon Fire. She followed her brother timidly. "Hi," She whispered softly. "My name is Midnight Blossom." She stopped and stared at Kiwi's eyes. "Your eyes are so beautiful!"

Kiwi looked down as she heard Ebon Fire's voice. "Nice to meet you, Ebon Fire. Yes, I am blind, I can only see black," she said, then smiled. To be a pup...She turned towards the direction of Midnight Blossom's voice. "Hello, Midnight Blossom, and thank you," she said, then paused. "I wish I could say the same to you, but unfortunately, I can't," she said, her voice calm as she blinked. She kept her eyes closed. They were starting to bother her. But she still smiled, and her form stayed relaxed.

[Parchment]

Midnight Blossom wandered away, content that she had learned the fae's name. She padded over to the new wolf, and thingyed her head.

Ebon Fire, oblivious to the fact that he was a bothersome little brat, continued to stare at Kiwi and her eyes. He wandered around Kiwi. "Man, it must be cool to be blind." Then Ebon Fire stopped. "But do you miss the fact that you can't see what's around you?"

Serendipity went to join her sister Midnight Blossom. She and Blossom went over to Chira, and sat beside her.
