Temor Oscuro hunt

[Juice]

Kane padded onto the lands quietly, Blayze his faithful daughter following behind silently. He was leading a trail of his pups along with his mate, Nuria. He had brought his family out today to hunt and teach his offspring how to be successful.

[Flamewolf]

Nuria followed her mate with Caremel close behind, the one that was always doing her best. Zidi and Keelm with a little farther behind. She knew their pups would be successful, she just knew it.

[Juice]

.:Along the outskirts of a lush meadow there is a small herd of deer. There are three does and a buck. The does graze but the buck is watching closely. That is the only option, no other animal seems to be around:.

Kane growled slightly. This was going to be a tough catch but he spotted a doe that seemed much skinnier then the other two, she seemed malnurished. Perfect he thought with glee. They'd cut that doe off and send her into a trap. He turned to his still and quiet family.

"Alright heres the plan." he began in a whisper. "That one doe over there is weak, she has a bad leg. We will cut her off from the others and herd her into a trap. Now I want Keelm, Raiku, Zidi and Nuria to circle around to the back of the herd, you will start to chase them and herd them all towards Blayze, who will be waiting in the brush. She will jump out in an ambush attack and attempt to cut the doe off from the others." he looked to Blayze. "This job is very important, you'll have to snake through bucking heads and kicking hooves, but you are both fast and powerful and I trust you." he said. "Don't let me down."

"I won't Daddy." Blayze whispered.

"Now Blayze will herd the doe towards Caremel and Neyla who will be waiting in that thrush over there. Caremel will come from the right in an ambush and go for the doe's throat while Neyla will come from the left and go for the doe's back. You will then attempt to take the doe down, all the while Blayze will be herding the deer towards me. I will be waiting in between that thicket of maple trees, I will strike out for the final kill." he finished. "You all play extremley important roles and to take this deer down, it will take teamwork and persistance." he said. He looked at everyone and nodded. Not waiting for an answer he crouched and took his position at the tree thicket. Blayze went and hid in the small brush that was waiting for her. Raiku began to snake out towards the deer herd and took up position at the back.

Nuria nodded and rounded up Zidi and Keelm, slowly and silently making their way to the back of the herd. The stopped besides Raiku, awaiting for everyone to get into place.

Caremel nodded and hid in the thrush that her father had indicated. She crouched, eyes trained on the doe, ready for action.

[Juice]

.:The stag's ears perked up. He had caught the scent of Nuria when she had walked to the grass. He bleated to the does as a warning. In an instant they were ready to charge. Kane howled the signal and Raiku sprung into action beginning to chase at teh deer's heels:.

Nuria, Keelm and Zidi leaped forward, chasing the heard with Raiku by their side. Nuria barked to Zidi, who had stumbled, but he quickly regained himself and caught up with his mother, and nipped at the heels of the herd, trying to get them going. Nuria kept a close eye on him.

Caremel heard his father's howl and tensed. She watched the doe as the herd started to move. She was ready, she wasn't going to let her father down!

.:The deer fell into perfect unision. The stag suddenly fell back as the does headed forward. The does were now up to Blayze's position. She readied her muscles and saw an entrance, the weak doe they were after was slightly straying to the right. But while Blayze was busy with the does, Nuria, Raiku, Zidi and Keelm now faced the problem of the buck that was now in their way. He was angry and tossing his antlers at them.:.

Blayze lept at the chance and managed to squeeze in between the two does. One screeched and pushed to the left along with the other, but the weak one, scared, confused and hurt, ran to the right and Blayze started to herd it towards Caremel and Neyla.

Raiku shuddered, he didn't know what to do. The buck's antlers were large and lethal. He just kind of stood there and jumped backwards when the buck threw his antlers his way. "Mom!" he yelled. "What do we do?!"

[Flamewolf]

Caremel tensed as the doe started to come towards her. She readied herself as the animal came closer, closer...

Nuria was surprised at the buck, but she quickly regained herself. She looked down to Raiku. "You go back there. I'll distract him," she said. Keelm and Zidi nodded, slowly backing away. Nuria growled at the buck, to get his attention, but stayed in front of her pups, just in case.

[Juice]

Raiku did as he was told and backed up along with his brothers. He was a little scared but he knew his mom would protect them.

.:The buck was wound up but still focused on Nuria. He swung his antlers out at her, barely missing her vital spots. He was making a mistake though, when he swung his head upwards his throat was completley unprotected.:.

Blayze was running and pounding as hard as she could, she had great speed. The doe was right in the clutches of Caramel and Neyla now. Blayze gave one last snap and managed to crunch onto the doe's back leg, breaking the bone entirely. Neyla saw her chance and sprung from her hiding spot, and onto the doe's back. The doe couldn't support that much weight and with a bad leg she was at even more of a disadvantage. She fell to the ground as Neyla dug her fangs into it's back fat. Blayze was still holding onto the deer's foot but she kicked out and Blayze was thrown off.

Zidi and Keelm slowly reached the brush behind Nuria, and scrambled behind a tree. They both watched her, thinking that she would take down the buck.

Nuria watched the buck, saw the opening and took the chance. She leaped forward, opening her maw to bite down on the animal, aiming for his exposed throat.

Caremel saw the doe come right to her. Go Blayze, she thought to herself before she sprang out of her hiding place. She leapt at the doe, hoping to bite the doe's throat.

[Juice]

Blayze was thrown against a tree and was momentarily dazed.

Neyla was still clinging to the doe and Caremel had it by the throat. Kane burst from the bushes and chomped through the vital area of the throat that Caremel wasn't holding on to. The doe died in an instant. Kane howled the joyous howl of a victorious hunt. He turned back to Blayze and nuzzled her. She woke up a little dazed but hungry. She howled too.

Nuria's opening was a small one, thus leaving little chance that she'd succeed. She didn't. The buck rammed his antlers full force into Nuria's right side and threw her off and onto the ground. She fell on her paw and and a sickening crack was heard. The buck however had turned tail and ran after hearing the dying call of his courted mate. He was gone.

Raiku leapt from the bushes and ran to his mom. "Mom! Mom, are you okay?!" he asked licking her face.

Caremel dislatched herself from the doe and howled joyously. She quickly came over to Blayze, saw that she was okay, and looked to the others.

Keelm shot out of the woods fairly fast as he saw his mother being thrown backwards. Zidi followed closly behind. "Mom! Mom!" he said, stopping by his mother's right side.

Nuria's eyes were closed for a little bit, but she opened them when she heard Raiku and Keelm. "I'm fine, I'm fine," she said. She started to get up, put pressure on her front left paw, and automatically disliked that move. She winced and quickly laid down again. "Okay, not totally fine," she murmered.

Caremel watched her mother, saw that she couldn't stand up, and quickly trotted over to her father. "Father, I think something's wrong with Mom," she said, her voice concerned as she caught Nuria favoring her front left paw.
