Falliah the Light fae (lookin' for a mate)

[Ghirizon]

A pretty young fae padded to the shoreline and breathed in deeply. Her cinnamon coat, fairly shone in the light, her white stripes glowed radiantly and her blue eyes glittered prettily. He looked for side to side then leaned over to drink from the crystal clear waters. raising her head, she laid down and waited, waited for that someone.

[Flamewolf]

The male trotted over to the edge of the lake, lowering his head to take a drink. When he lifted his head again, his hazel eyes caught sight of a fae to the right of him. Turning his head, his brown and black form relaxed, tail wagging slowly, he looked at her for a moment. "Hello," he said kindly, head tilted slightly to the side as he slowly sat down on his haunches.

Falliah smiled to herself as the brute st down beside her. "Hello," she replied quietly, gazing out over the crystal clear water."Wonderful view isn't it?"

[Flamewolf]

Duke turned his head to look out over the surface of the lake. He nodded his head. "Yes, it is," he agreed, the water reflecting in his eyes as he looked down at his own reflection. He smiled slightly and looked back over to the fae. "I am Duke. May I ask who I have the pleasure of being with?" he inquired, still smiling slightly. His tail wagged gently as he awaited her answer.

[Ghirizon]

Falliahs tail wagged slightly and she felt a smile slowly creeping across her muzzle, "I am Falliah, daughter of Ghirizon of the Moonleaf Pines pack." She felt this seemed too formal so she smiled and said, "just call me Faal. (F-ah-l)" she felt she may get a new friend here ...or maybe even that mate. she admired the way his coat fluttered in the wind.

[Flamewolf]

Duke tilted his head. "Nice name," he commented, smiling. "I've heard of Moonleaf Pines pack," he said, smiling slightly. "So, Faal, why are you out here? Sight-gazing?" he inquired, his tail wagging still. He realized that he was admiring her, she was very pretty. He watched her curiously, awaiting her answer.

Falliah blushed as she realized she had to tell him she was searching for a mate, "Weeellll, actually," her tail had stopped wagging and smile began to fade, "I'm out, well, MATE searching. You see, I and my brother Elenion, must come home with a mate to be considered eligable for the position of Alpha, or in my case, Alphess." she thought this made her sound shallow, and she hoped Duke wouldn't think the same. Just watching the way his coat waved and the way his hazel eyes shone with intelligence. If she brought him home, her father would certainly approve! she thought, and then pushed that thought to the back of her mind.

[Flamewolf]

Duke smiled gently, tail still wagging. "Ah, I can understand that," he said, nodding slightly, his form relaxed and calm. He wasn't bothered by the fact that she was out looking for a mate. He watched her. "Any luck?" he inquired, casually.

[Ghirizon]

"I don't know yet," she said, and giggled, "It all depends on how my search goes." she thought that she had heard heard a hint of flirtiness in his remark, and wasn't sure wht to think of it.

[Flamewolf]

He smiled as his tail wagged harder. "Well, I hope your search is a success," he said, smiling, ears up as he looked at her. He sank down to his belly, looking into the water before allowing his paw to enter the cold water. He smiled slightly, looking back up to Falliah.

[Ghirizon]

Falliah smiled wider and her tail swished back and forth, slowly Falliah lay down, about a yard away and lapped some water before answering. "Let me know if you see someone Duke?"

[Flamewolf]

Duke's ears faced forward as he gazed at her. He was almost tempted to ask her if he could have the honor of being her mate, but didn't want to sound rude, so he kept his maw shut as he gazed out across the lake. He lowered his head and drank for a moment as there was a moment's silence. He sighed slightly before he turned back to Falliah.

[Ghirizon]

"I'm sorry Duke I kind of sprung that on you, didn't I?" Falliah blushed deeoly and felt totally humiliated. She had misunderstood his silence and stood up awkwardly. "I'm very sorry, I just get a little excitable is all..." She trailed off muttering to herself about how she was 'thickheaded' and 'stupid' and how she 'needed to be more patient'.

Duke stood up quickly, watching her for a moment before bounding up to stand partly to her side, partly in front of her. "That's okay," he said, smiling. She was the first wolf that had actually participated in a conversation with him. And he like Falliah's company; he didn't want her to leave yet.

"R-r-really?" she stammered, and smiled at him happily. "Since we're standing anyways," She began, "Would you like to meet my family? The packlands aren't far away, but we don't have to go if you don't want to." She looked at him encouragingly and smiled adding, "You know what? I really like you." And she meant it!
